Our unique position in the heart of this village puts The White Horse Inn at the hub of the Cuckoo Fair (arguably the country's largest village fair), held over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. To find out more visit The Downton Cuckoo Fair website.

We host the local Bonfire Night celebrations, a fund-raising event for the local Scouts and we are proud sponsors of The Downton Band, one of only two bands who still perform the early morning "Secret of Christmas".

Every Sunday evening we hold our fund-raising Quiz Night. Costing just £1 per person to enter, all the proceeds go to The Salisbury Hospice Trust. There is a prize for the winning team.
